The Kern 686 is a modular and expandable inserting system for processing of single sheets up to size A3, and 3 enclosures. Suited for midrange distribution volumes. The Kern 686 is now available in a new and modern casing. To insert a DIN-A3 form into a C6 envelope doesn’t pose a problem for the Kern 686 inserting system, because the integrated folding systems allow any combination of parallel and cross folding. In just one step the Kern 686 compares, folds and inserts the documents and seals the envelopes at high continuous output.Patented steel packing pockets hold the forms during the insertion process into the envelope. The documents are thus fully protected. As with manual inserting, the inserts are correctly put in the fold. When the addressee pulls out the content, nothing will remain in the envelope.

Ink-jet technology will assure high quality printing and a low cost maintenance.
Main features The machine is loaded from the top where the user can get access directly to the feeding station composed by two compartments storing 500 checks and 100 covers/order forms.
After being fed, the sheets are transported to the printer station by use of belts reducing the jam rate to minimum. The feeder is manually adjustable for different paper thickness and occasional double feed are detected by a sensor and stored in a dedicated bin.
